Learn how to build a James or Leon Rocking chair from our Master Craftsman Ariel Enriquez.  This class will meet Wednesday evening for selecting the chair seat material and making the seat blank.  Saturday we will shape the chair parts, begin sanding, and prepare all parts for assembly.  Sunday will cover assembly and finish.  Your new rocking chair will have one coat of oil on it by day’s end and you will be given supplies and instruction to complete the finishing process at home or we can finish your rocking chair for you and arrange for future pick up or delivery.

Our handcrafting furniture classes take place in The Joinery's wood shop using the same methods as our builders. Students will be using professional machines and working 8 hour days.
