Scope: Design Input & Fabrication

Material: Locally Harvested W. Walnut (50% Scrap) & Aluminum

Finish: Hand-rubbed Land Ark Oil Finish

In collaboration with Nike, The Joinery designed, engineered and built a custom asymmetrical miter wrap bench for a Nike 6.0 in Southern California. The Joinery developed a process to laminate local Western Walnut and aluminum bar to create the unusual look. Scrap wood was used for a large portion of the project, in keeping with the desire for a sustainable approach and to help meet Nike’s budget for the project.
