Hand-glazed ceramic tile, alive with the subtle variation only a kiln can produce, meets our signature solid wood joinery in a piece that rewards every closer look.
The design of the Alameda Coffee Table is rooted in the thoughtful arrangement of varied materials into something cohesive and considered. That spirit is expressed in the table’s surface, where hand-glazed tile from Pratt + Larson draws on the studio’s archive-inspired layouts, reinterpreted here with their newest tile textures. Each tile carries its own subtle variation in color and glaze, a quality that, like wood grain, is intrinsic to how it’s made.
Eastern Walnut with Indigo Blue
Set against the geometry of the tile, The Joinery’s solid wood construction introduces a softening counterpoint: gently rounded edges that bring warmth to the sculptural form. The juxtaposition is intentional, structure and softness in quiet dialogue, each material made more expressive by the presence of the other.
Oregon Oak with Midori Green
The Alameda Coffee Table is available through The Joinery’s Pearl District showroom and online.
